Our Devoted Doctors
Dr. Patrick Frenzer
Veterinarian
Dr. Patrick Frenzer joined the Chicago Cat Clinic in August 2023. He grew up in Edgebrook before traveling to the University of Florida for college. There, he received a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Materials Engineering before making the switch to Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Patrick graduated with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 2018, after which he completed a year-long rotating internship at a specialty hospital in Long Island. He practiced for several years in the Tampa, FL, area before returning home to Chicago.
He has a special interest in veterinary behavior and prides himself on client education and low-stress handling. Outside of work, Dr. Patrick enjoys playing video and board games, watching horror movies, and spoiling the family gray-muzzle doggo Seamus (and his niece and nephew Goldendoodles).
Dr. Magdalena Dominguez Lowery
Veterinarian
Dr. Dominguez Lowery graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. She has practiced veterinary medicine in Wisconsin, Illinois, Georgia and Colorado as a general practitioner and briefly in emergency medicine. After her husband’s retirement from the ARMY, she and her family moved back home to the Midwest in 2025. Dr. Dominguez is an active member of the Feline Veterinary Medical Association (FelineVMA), American Veterinary Medical Association and Latinx Veterinary Medical Association. She is especially proud of her cat friendly veterinarian and heart health certificates from the FelineVMA. She is passionate about all aspects of feline medicine and behavior. When not helping companion animals she enjoys improving her backyard wildlife ecosystem and spending time with her family, including her 3 sons. Her family is made complete by way of 3 kitties, a joyful orange tabby (Hamilton), a dainty brown tabby diva (Mercedes) and a reckless and very rambunctious Cornish Rex (Serosh). Dr. Dominguez Lowery is eager to partner with dedicated caregivers in helping kitties live long and happy lives.
Dr. Nicole Barichello
Veterinarian
Dr. Nicole Barichello grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago and now calls the city home. She attended the University of Illinois for her undergraduate studies before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine.
For Dr. Barichello, one of the most rewarding aspects of veterinary medicine is helping her patients feel better. She finds great joy in seeing a sick pet improve and knowing she played a role in helping them get back to feeling like themselves.
Dr. Barichello is excited to care for the cats of Chicago and build lasting relationships with their families.
Dr. Jillian Juna
Veterinarian
Dr. Jillian Juna is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing veterinary medicine since 2017. She is passionate about providing individualized care for each patient and building meaningful, lasting relationships with her clients and their pets.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Juna enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and kids, along with their two cats, Barney and Clyde, and their dog, Cinna.

Courtney, Practice Manager
Outside of the clinic, Courtney enjoys spending time with her husband, daughters, and friends, as well as her six kitties.
Roxanne, Lead Veterinary Assistant
Roxanne is one of the lead veterinary assistants at Chicago Cat Clinic. She has nearly 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine and has been part of the Chicago Cat Clinic family for more than 15 years. She is also proud to be Cat Friendly certified. Roxanne strives to care for every patient as if they were one of her own cats while providing kindness and compassion to their families.
Outside of the clinic, Roxanne enjoys spending time with friends and, of course, giving plenty of love to her two kitties, Siobhan and Stanley.
Nicci, Veterinary Tech/Assistant
My name is Nicci. I’ve been a veterinary technician for 18 years. I initially worked with the Chicago Cat Clinic from 2003-2008 and I am very excited to be back!
Kiki, Veterinary Technician
Kiki is a Veterinary Technician and a graduate of the Joliet Junior College Veterinary Medical Technology Program. She has six years of experience in veterinary medicine and has worked with a wide variety of patients, from exotic pets to large animals. Kiki is known for her caring and empathetic approach and strives to treat every patient as if they were one of her own. She also loves continuing to learn and is always looking for opportunities to expand her knowledge and skills.
Outside of the clinic, Kiki enjoys writing, drawing, crafting, and playing video games, including Phasmophobia and Cult of the Lamb. She also loves spending time with her furry family, including her cats, Tracer and Socks, and guinea pigs, Tai and Thistle.
Alejandra, Client Service Rep.
Hi, my name is Alejandra. I have worked in the animal field for six years and have been with the clinic since 2020.
Mazzy, Customer Service Representative
Outside of the clinic, Mazzy enjoys watching movies, listening to records, and spending time with their two cats, Cowboy and Candy.
Penelope, Assistant Office Manager
Penelope rarely participates in actual work, but she makes up for it by loudly voicing her opinions whenever things don’t go her way. She’s an important part of the team, whether we like it or not.
